S: Adakah OP (Sijil Kesiapan Bangunan) diperlukan untuk mendapatkan bekalan elektrik?
Q: Is OP (Occupation Permit) required to obtain electricity
J: Ya, OP diperlukan semasa menghadapkan borang permohonan (prosedur 1).
A: Yes, OP is required during initial submission (procedure 1)

S: Bolehkah agensi kerajaan menepati TPOR 7 hari bagi proses 1 memandangkan proses berkenaan melibatkan 2 skop kerja?
Q: Will the government agencies able to meet the 7 days TPOR for procedure 1 since it involves two different scope of work?
J: TPOR 7 hari adalah komitmen daripada Kementerian Pembangunan.  Statistik TPOR boleh dilihat dalam laman web Jabatan peratus proses yang menepati TPOR.
A: 7 days TPOR is a commitment by Ministry of Development.  Statistics of each procedures is updated weekly in this page

S: Apakah proses untuk mendapatkan bekalan sementara untuk kerja-kerja pengujian pendawaian dan berapa lama bekalan elektrik sementara diberikan oleh Jabatan?
Q: What are the procedures for getting temporary supply for the purpose of testing and how long will the temporary supply be give?
J: Pemborong/Konsultan hendaklah menghadapkan surat rasmi ke Jabatan.  Tempoh kelamaan bekalan diberikan tertakluk kepada premis yang dipohonkan.
A: Consultants/Contractors need to submit a letter to the Department.  Period of temporary supply is based on the application.

S: Apakah proses mendapatkan bekalan elektrik melibatkan bekalan daripada BPMC?
Q: What is the procedure for getting electricity which involves supply from BPMC?
J: Pihak Jabatan mencadangkan agar pemborong/konsultan berurusan terus dengan BPMC
A: The Department suggests the contractors/consultants to consult BPMC directly

S: Adakah vendor meter prabayar maklum dengan prosedur baru mendapatkan meter?
Q: Are meter vendors aware of the new procdures?
J: Syarikat Wadura dan EngiCon Sdn Bhd (vendor meter prabayar) sudah maklum dengan proses baru ini.
A:Syarikat Wadura and EngiCon Sdn Bhd are aware of the new procedures.

S: Bolehkan pembayaran 'connection charges' dibuat awal sebelum prosedur 3?
Q: Can the connection charges be paid before procedure 3?
J: Pembayaran 'connection charges' hanya dapat dibayar dalam prosedur 3 setelah borang permohonan dihadapkan dengan lengkap.
A: Connection charges can only be paid when submitting complete application form.

S: Adakah penggunan prepaid CT meter dimestikan oleh Jabatan?
Q: Is the use of Prepaid CT meter made compulsory by the Department?
J: Bagi permohonan 101A-400A, prepaid CT meter dengan built in modem adalah dimestikan.
A: Prepaid CT meter is compulsory for 101A-400A application.

S: Pemborong/Konsultan memohon tatacara (guideline) bagi pembekalan kabel HT memandangkan pada masa ini Jabatan tidak lagi membekalkan kabel berkenaan. 

Adakah ia melibatkan semua permohonan ataupun Jabatan akan membekalkan kabel berkenaan sekiranya kabel yang diperlukan terlalu panjang?
Q: Is the supply of HT cable by applicant involves all application?
J: Pada dasarnya, semua permohonan yang memerlukan kabel HT akan ditanggung sendiri oleh pemaju mulai 1 Januari 2016.
A: Starting from 1st January 2016, HT cable will be provided by the developer

S: Adakah Jabatan/Agensi berkenaan bercadang untuk menyediakan online tracking bagi proses mendapatkan elektrik?
Q: Does the Department provide online tracking for getting electricity?
J: Pada masa ini tidak ada
A: Not the moment

S: Berapakah caj penyambungan bekalan elektrik?
Q: What are the connection charges for getting electricity?

J: Borang Survey Contractor dan Borang Permit to Dig
A: Contractor Survey form and Permit to Dig form

S: Apakah perkara yang perlu dibuat sebelum memulakan kerja-kerja bagi Langkah 2 Mendapatkan Elektrik?
Q: What are needed to be done prior to doing works for Step 2 Getting Electricity?
J: Pemborong dikehendaki mengisi Borang DCS 009 dan disahkan oleh pemilik rumah/bangunan
A: Contractors have to fill in DCS 009 form and to be verified by house/building owner

S: Apakah borang yang perlu digunakan untuk membuat laporan pengujian pendawaian dalalm Langkah 2 Mendapatkan Elektrik?
Q: What is the form to be used for reporting electrical wiring installation test in Step 2 Getting Electricity?
J: Jurutera Professional hendaklah menggunakan Borang Pengujian BS7671 untuk disertakan dengan surat pengesahan pengujian pendawaian
J: Professional Engineers have to use the  BS7671 Test Forms and attached them with their testing certification letter

An approve electrical contractor submits application for approval of the tapping point to the Authority for Building and Construction Industry (ABCi)/ Department of Electrical Services .

Apply for a Permit to Dig at ABCi should excavation work be needed.
